NewsLamp Supercomputer

This is to announce that, following the release of today's edition, the NewsLampoon.com will be transferring its voluminous cache of files to its new Supercomputer and will have to suspend updating the site until completion of this highly sensitive and dangerous operation. News-gathering operations will continue, as always, around the clock.

Keep checking this blog for updates.

Update January 30, 2008

We're still working. We can now be accessed at www.newslampoon.com.

Shortly, the promised exciting Editor-in-Chief article will be published.

We appreciate your patience.

NewsLampoon Down

Not that anyone will notice, but the NewsLampoon.com will be down for the next few hours. We are working furiously to repair the damage done by some fool who just presses any old button "just to see what will happen."

Today was going to be one hell of an issue, too. The Editor-in-Chief was going to provide fascinating insight concerning the NewsLampoon.com's editorial machinations.

We're hoping to provide this to our readers, all three of you, before 4:00 p.m. ET.

Thank you.

Comic stories wanted

The NewsLampoon.com is soliciting for short (1000-2000 word) stories for its Sunday Story section. Please check it out before submitting. Go to http://newslampoon.com and click the Sunday Story link. We can't pay you anything, but think of the glory of having your story published on our site. Submissions should be sent in .doc form to info@newslampoon.com. We will respond just as soon as we can, depending on the volume of submissions.

The NewsLampoon--skewering news reports, reporters, and the reported

Testing, testing. This is new for me. I've never blogged before. What I want to do is get people to visit www.newslampoon.com, a news-satire website dealing mostly with politics and celebrity news. Check the site out, tell me if you like it, how I can improve it. I've also enrolled in Google's "adsense," so if anyone can tell me anything about their experiences with it, I'd appreciate it.

I'll try to be funny next time.
